Very overpriced and not michelin star worthy. 2/7 courses were good (risotto and banana dessert) rest were very bland or lacking depth - the fish and chicken were especially underwhelming. If you compare the fish dish with a seared tuna down the road, the latter wins by a mile. Service was ok except a lot of chit chat between servers which in a small setting at fine dining can be quite intrusive. For 190 euros per person feels like daylight robbery.

The best food we ate in all of Italy, hands down. Excellent dishes, great wine and amazing views. Staff was friendly and courteous.

מסעדה הכי טובה שאכלתי בה מסעדה עם כוכב מישלן האוכל היה מצוין הזמנו ארוחת טעימות ועוד כמה מנות מהתפריט המנת פתיחה של הטונה היתה ממש טעימה וגם הקינוחים. המלצרים היו מאוד נחמדים דיברו איתנו ונתנו לנו יחס מדהים הנוף היה פשוט מדהים לקינוח ירדנו למטה לאזור עם הספות מהמם הזמנו בנוסף עוגת גבינה מדהימה ובגלל שהיה לי יום הולדת המסעדה הביאה לנו גם עוגת היער השחור ממש טעימה. העיקריות צריכות קצת שיפור אבל חוץ מזה ארוחה מושלם!!!! ממליץ בחום לא מסעדה מפונפנת אבל טעימה ומודרנית

The service was not at par with a one star. The waiters were not attentive nor where they knowledgable. We had to call several times before they answered. We ordered a bottle of wine. It was good, but the waiter could not describe notes and flavors. There was no sommelier. The food was below par too. For example, the pasta was overcooked and with no character—very plane. The fish was over cooked too and the yogurt did not go well with it. The chicken and lobster were good, but like most dishes, had no italian character. Where does the inspiration come from? What’s the story you’re trying to tell?

Second night staying at Monastero Santa Rosa and came to Il Refettorio. Everything was fantastic. Very attentive staff (unlike the one star review below), amazing locale white wine, breath taking view, and weather was perfection. Favorite items: we ended up ordering 2 of the tagliolini because the first dish was just too good. The scallop was also great if you like foie gras pâté. Everything was perfect, even the hotel. Highly recommend. Best hotel/restaurant in Amalfi
